Frequently Asked Questions

  1.  How long will it take to receive my translation?

The number of words a translator can translate per day is around 2,000-2,500, so for a text of 4,000 words approximately, we need two days of work. In that period of time, research, translation and proofreading of your document are included.
By urgent translations, we mean translations that need to be submitted within the next 24 hours after accepting the quote. This service has an extra charge of 50% compared to the normal price of translation.

 

  1. How can I ask for a quote?

  1. In which format can I send my document?

At Connecta Languages we work with SDL Trados Studio 2015 which is compatible with a wide range of files: doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptz, html, xml, xliff, inx, etz.

 

  1. Will you accept my document if it’s on paper?

Yes, you can send us your document on paper, but as we will have to type it in our data base in order to translate it, we will apply an extra charge that may vary depending on the length of the text and the clarity of the original document.

 

  1. How many languages do you support?

Currently we have native speakers of Spanish, English, Portuguese and Catalan. If you need a translation into another language, please do not hesitate to contact us as we have external collaborators of other languages.

 

  1. What is the privacy policy of Connecta Languages?

Connecta Languages and all its employees are committed to treating your documents with the utmost confidentiality and they reject to disclose or make public any of the content received. Shall you require so, we have a Confidentiality Agreement available to sign before we start working together in any project.

 

  1.  If I get my translation back and I see any mistakes, can I claim for free?

Yes, if you are not happy with the result and we do find any mistakes, we will review it as many times as necessary until we get to the level of satisfaction you expected.

 

  1. Why do you charge a minimum fee for very short texts?

In order to be able to apply our quality standards, we need to enter your text in our database, and even as tiny as it is, we need to use our time and tools. Our minimum fee applies to texts containing up to 300 words and the price is 25€ + VAT.

 

  1. How I can make the payment of my translation?

We currently accept two payment methods: wire transfer or PayPal.
